C. Read Nicole's story and check your guesses.

I can remember exactly what I was doing the day I first talked to David. It was 4 p.m. on a Wednesday, and I was mucking around on the Internet. I'd used it for three years but I had never before been into a transatlantic chat room. But for some reason that day, for the first time ever. I decided to give it a go, And at the very same moment Davy sent a message asking, "Anyone
want to talk?"

I replied and that was the beginning, That first time we talked for an hour and the messages just flew across the Atlantic, Davy was so much fun to talk to, so animated and full of life. He also got my sense of humour, unlike most people!

А
The next day I woke up to a flashing computer message that just said: "Hey!" My heart started pounding and the butterflies were zipping round my stomach. I knew it was Davy. I didn't bother getting dressed or even grabbing a cup of coffee - I typed back furiously and we picked up from the day before. We started talking about dreams and ambitions, Then we swapped pictures, Davy looked artistic and creative.

We were online for hours but it wasn't enough just to talk on the Net - we were desperate to hear each other's voices. I was the

first to call. I was so excited my hands were shaking, When I heard Davy's voice. I was hooked, He sounded gorgeous - sensual and soft, With every word he spoke. I melted some more, It was better than I had ever imagined, After two hours. Davy phoned me back and we just kept on chatting. There were no long silences or awkward moments..." we had so much we wanted to say to each other. He was really sincere and genuine, and I began to feel that I really knew him.

карт

For the next week we spoke on the phone for up to eight hours at a time - that week's phone bill was the equivalent of $600. I knew I was going to marry Davy after the fourth day. We were both completely in love, besotted with each other, and I knew he was The One. There wasn't a doubt in my mind. He was my rock, Just talking to him made me feel safe,

карт

secure and wildly happy. The feelings I had for him were so powerful. He

felt like my soul mate. My other half and I couldn't imagme life without him. We decided we had to meet and ten days later after we'd spoken online I flew to Britain. My friends thought I was mad, Meeting Davy was a huge riskhe could be a psycho, He could pick me up, drive me to the middle of nowhere and murder me, Or, more likely, he just wouldn't turn up at the airport and I'd
feel like a complete fool.

I was a wreck during the nine-hour flight, and when I walked into the arrivals hall, I was panic-stricken, He wasn't there. Then all of a sudden, I saw himmy Davy fighting his way towards me through the crowds. He gave me a massive hug and kiss. I felt wonderful.

We walked out of the airport arm in arm, and when we got into the car we sat staring at each other, each drinking the other in. I couldn't believe this was happening to me, that everything was turning out to be so perfect. I had to keep repeating: "He IS real. He is real."
